The Importance of Warm-Up and Cool-Down

This is Igarashi from Life Force Chiropractic.

Last month, I played golf for the first time in a long time and got a gimpy back.

Therefore, this time I will discuss the importance of warm-up and cool-down exercises.

Warm-Up

•Increases blood flow and flexibility

•Prepares muscles and joints for movement •Reduces the risk of sudden injuries

How to Warm Up

•Light cardio (walking or marching in place for 3–5 minutes)

•Dynamic stretches: trunk twists, shoulder rolls, hip circles

Cool-Down

•Helps the body gradually return to a resting state

•Reduces muscle soreness and stiffness

•Improves flexibility

How to Cool Down

•Gentle static stretches: hamstrings, calves, lower back

•Deep breathing to relax body and mind
